The 100 Day Project

Last year I watched as different artists and makers created one work a day for 100 days on Instagram. As a musician and academic used to a very slow cycle of production, their output seemed out of reach. How could I possibly make something new for 100 days and share it with the internet? This year, I joined in. For the past five days I've uploaded a video (more like an audio file accompanying a still image) to my Instagram account of me whistling. Over the course of the next 95 days I'll keep sharing music that I make in order to:

  1. discover the musical possibilities of making music with my body
  2. reframe the act of music making to make performance enjoyable for me
  3. practice using hardware and software to record, edit, and share musical work
